Mclaren don't do what Red Bull did. They won't throw Lando in, also if Red Bull didnt have Toro Rosso, Max may not be in F1 even today.George-Jung wrote: ↑Tue Aug 01, 2017 8:19 am@NathanOlder, Ocon was not an F3 rookie if i am correct, he already drove F3 in 2013.
Max may not have wonthe F3 season in 2014, but it was his exceptional driving and overtaking skills that made him 'special'.
Ocon is more like a Prost and Max more like a Senna.. both have great potential as we are currently witnessing.
Ps. It took Max only one year to get in F1NathanOlder wrote: ↑Tue Aug 01, 2017 7:56 amLando is coming. Give him 3 years and he will be in a Mclaren
If he didn't signed with RBR he would have signed by Mercedes, but they wanted him first in GP2 and then a Mercedes powerd car. So I guess he would be in F1 right now.NathanOlder wrote: ↑Tue Aug 01, 2017 10:00 amMclaren don't do what Red Bull did. Edit: Ocon was a rookie the year he beat Max.
Sure he is
True but didn't Hamilton do more of the usual route of Jr series' first?George-Jung wrote: ↑Tue Aug 01, 2017 11:08 am@NathanOlder,
I think that if Max did not take the RBR/TR route- he would be by now driving the 2nd Mercedes due to Rosberg quiting in 2016.
But ofcourse completely irrelevant.
One thing i am also sure of is that Ocon has a bright future in front of him, great driver.
Lando I do not know the guy, so I will look into it.
Ps.
Mclaren did put Hamilton in..
Because he was backed by Mclaren since his karting days and Lewis actually won championships in his last two years prior his F1 debut. Can't recall anyone doing that lately.
Oh No !!!!!!RED FLAG!
The third red flag of the day is out.
It was all going so well for McLaren-Honda but now Vandoorne has stopped out on track in sector 2.

A Toro Rosso caused a red flag just before that, i don't see the big issue here.mclaren111 wrote: ↑Tue Aug 01, 2017 11:53 amOh No !!!!!!RED FLAG!
