I think the Halo make it looks shorter but they are pretty similar if not equal

Look at the distance from the driver to the rear wheels, looks to be a shorter distance, about the same when you look at the front.
And that seems to fit with Wolff mentioning they have a shorter gearbox this year

I'm surprised they haven't done more with the sidepods I was expecting something radical there. It'll be really interesting to see some comparison shots with the W08, but the 09 does seem merely evolutionary at first glance. I suppose some of the most interesting stuff might be hidden under the skin, like new trick suspension, and internal aero.

I was not only comparing to the two pictures on the previous page, but on all the pictures i've seen so far.
To me it looks shorter, im not stating it as a fact

Is the wheelbase shorter?

I`m going to go with slightly shorter, it looks the same from the airbox to the front axel but a tad shorter airbox to rear.
My guess is the wheelbase is 55mm shorter than last year, closest wins a cookie....

Back to the car. The barge board area is rediculously complex, I know a lot af pure aero guys like all these wings, flaps and vortex generators but personally i think it makes the cars look too messy in that area. There seems to be 3 side pod flow conditioners, umpteen air channels and them rows of ginger snaps [painted black] some half eaten.
Really like what they`ve done with the suspension, looks a nice car which there seems to be many of this year!
