Nothing to do with luck. Complacent, finish at the slowest pace race strategy. - just stupidity from the pit wall.
They lost the win with that strategy - but redbull won with luck. If the safety car was called 15 seconds earlier, Vettel and Bottas could have pitted. 15 seconds later, redbull would have gone past the pit entry.

Ferrari lost on strategy.
Redbull won with luck.
Simple.
Yes Bottas and Vettel didn't have a chance to pit but the mistery is why they didn't box Hamilton.
They didn't have fresh soft tyres, so no point pitting Hamilton on used softs. Both Ferrari drivers had fresh softs available though.

15s later and Vettel and Bottas would've been past T1 and would have plenty of time to decide if they wanted to pit or not, conspicuous timing but fair play to RBR.

Despite all the happenings in the race Ferrari didnt really make an impression in race pace today as many of us believed after qualy...What an unpredictable race at the end and to be fair as much as i love Danny Ric this idolizing from SKY commentary made me cringe, guy was on much fresher tyres on his moves plus the guys ahead were smart to back off or else kaboom...Anyways on to Baku!
To be fair, on the soft Vettel managed the pace. On the medium we never saw how fast Vettel could have gone.

As soon as you have to follow another car with these cars any advantage you have is negated....

I think so as well. You wouldn't think in a million years that such a thing would happen today :D

Maybe managing race pace because of 3 Pus per season is keeping the grid close. FIA job done

Yes. Saw that as well. The very first time I saw a really really humble Max who openly admitted it was his own fault and it was a very bad and stupid move.
Maybe just maybe he learned a tiny little bit today. After the interview I have a little bit of hope.

I have to ask what the Hell Gasly is trying there.
Causing SC in order to help daddy RedBull ... that is if you believe in "coincidences"

Merc pitwall caught napping ... again ... third race in a row ... Lewis could have won this

Great by RIC though ... and i think "dickhead" will stick now ... that's what i'll call him from now on ... what a massive plonker ... and he deserves more than just a non-penalty slap on the wrist tbh

well...slightly used softs were better than well worn meds.... then again not sure if it woudlve dropped off at the end like last week...

Safety car was called in after VET passed pit lane enter, so they couldn't pit him anyway. RAI changed tyres few laps before... maybe the biggest error was done by MER with HAM

Then you have very low standards =D>
what matters at the end of day is standing on the board ?.Using Kimi as a Guinea pig does show high standards ferrari as a racing team have.i like racing and overtakes. i guess even racing gods are fed up of boring processions.

Ferrari and Mercedes should have pitted Kimi and Hamilton for Softs during SC. Vettel and Bottas had passed pit entry already, but their teammates still had the chance to go into the pits. Poor decision by both and surely this cost them points.

Verstappen has done it again. If there still are people telling that everything he's doing is perfectly normal I will be surprised. Destroying a driver's race and just getting a penalty of 10 seconds will not motivate him to change his behaviour at all. He finished in 5. place and Vettel at the end was struggling to even stay ahead of Sainz because his tyres and also his floor were damaged.
Verstappen got more points by playing bumper car. Something is wrong here.

Brilliant drive by Ricciardo, though.

I wonder who will first sign Ricciardo, Rb or Merc. Maybe wasn't fast this weekend, but when there is a chance, he will deliver unlike his teammate
