Does Lewis get more points because of the british media ?

Didnt think so, so why go on
I must say it would be very strange if the british media would not be in happy about a BRITISH driver, especially if he is a title contender...
Exactly yet nearly every foreign person watching British Broadcasts go on about how biased they are.
Uhm... Where else should we watch?

The most important outcome though, should be that Mercedes with an inferior car is leading Driver's Championship.
If it comes up with a different car in Spain, it could have a clear advantage from now on.
Sounds like you think Mercedes will bring a completely different car to Spain whereas others will sleep. Ferrari also brought little to no upgrades until now, for example. Don't know about RBR though.

Mercedes especially will try to solve their tyre issue on qualy pace. On race pace they seem to have no problems as we have seen, but still they couldn't match the pace of Ferrari today. Vettel was comfortably counterattacking most fastest laps of Hamilton in the first stint and kept a safe time gap.

Sirotkin will be punished with 3 places on starting grid in Barcelona and 2 points on his driving licence for first lap crash.

Yes, Hamilton 3rd today because I don't think he would have been able to defend against Bottas on fresh US with a lead of just 3 seconds (if we consider 20-21 seconds Bottas would have lost in pit stop).
So by ur logic then Vettel only deserved 2nd today as Bottas would come 5 sec behind Vettel and with ultras he would have overtaken him too.

- Baku: Hamilton should have finished 3rd at best, but won and at the same time Vettel should have won, but came 4th
Bottas would have not come out 5 seconds behind Vettel, but like 9 to 10 seconds. With 11 laps left it would have been possible to overtake Vettel of course, but it would have been not so easy. On the other hand, Bottas would have come out just like 3 seconds behind Hamilton. If both had fighted for the second place at some point, it would have given Vettel even more of an advantage upfront.
Bottas was 13 sec ahead and was pulling 0.5 sec per lap, even Lewis with old tyres was closing in on Vettel...so Bottas would be 8 sec behind Vettel and 1 to 2 sec behind Lewis. Surely Merc would let Bottas through to have ago, they are not a one man team like Ferrari and Vettel.

The penalty is for the first incident where he drove into the back of someone else I guess.

On Verstappen vs Ricciardo i don't think Verstappen moved enough to call it moving in the braking zone or double weaving, from the front his line is pretty straight.

I might go Ricciardo's fault on that one.
Probably pent up frustration for:
  • Letting him get by at the start.
  • Multiple attempts to pass that almost worked, but ultimately failed.
  • Actually passing, but after 35 laps of trying.
  • Then getting passed from an overcut.
Judging from their reactions immediately after the race, I think they both know neither were without fault on this one. Whether that's their own perspective, or the team line, we'll wait and see.
No doubt things kept escalating and made him desperate to get by before Verstappen's tires got up to temperature.

:wtf: And the utter farce continues. Reprimand? For both? If everyone defended with 2 (+0,5) changes of direction + slowing (Spa, Hungary '16 Verstappen's (TM)) like that there would be 0% of overtakes and 100% of crashes.

Two "RELATIVELY MINOR" moves? I beg you pardon? These were as big as they can be while you're illegaly blocking car 5 mm behind. It really is a fake pseudo sport. Mechanic on the track with broken limbs = safe release. Verstappen causing crash with two illegal moves = reprimand + one for Ricciardo.

At least RB's dominance ball deflated spectacularly since theye were nowhere and waiting for another SF gift. Spin that obliging F1 media. As it turns out Ricciardo is not such a genius overtaker if it's the same car/tyres. Took him 5 awkward attempts.

Probably all of the above, but don’t forget the role of the team here. Earlier that lap his engineer was urging RIC to quickly attack VES.

I have no clue why as points wise it would not make a difference and there would be no way for RIC to catch and overtake HAM who was 10 seconds up the road. Behind there was also no threath.

It is one thing to let the drivers race each other, it is another to force them to race each other when it is not necessary.

In any other team they would at that point tune down the engines and focus on bringing the points home. If you then start encouraging your drivers to fight amongst themselves then you shouldn’t be surprised this this outcome.

Just blaming the drivers is a bit cheap to me. I think it is only fair that the pit wall joins the trip to the factory to apologise.

Verstappen really did his best to not allow his teammate to pass him, They (near) hit each other on I believe 3 occassions before that.

They both seem to have forgotten that they are driving for the same team.
