I hope McLaren doesn't just become the retirement home for drivers over 30. If they've got two young guys they trust in Vandoorne and Norris, just put them in the seats.

Should Charly Whiting be part of Silly season?

He looks so clueless in driver briefings, give no conclusive answers to questions about the rules. Keep out the SC on wet tracks untill it is time to swich to dry tires. The flag incident in Canada (unclear if it is his fault though). This weekend about the curbs.

WHat's the problem with curbs? they are there for penalizing drivers for going wide and prevents them to gain advantage. Drivers should just try to stick within track limits.

Would gladly see Charlie retire. He's done a solid job for years but no more than that.
Like Bernie, it's time to move on..

I’ll be extremely surprised if Renault would want him.
Not for nothing, Rosberg's Championship is the only thing that lends credibility to Hamilton's recent success. Otherwise, he'd just be the guy who's had the best car. — bhall II

Why? Who's better that they could realistically get?

I think they've said they'd be interested if they can give him the car to win but not interested if they can't so I guess it comes down to what their goals are.

Alonso & Sainz would be a nice combo.

As for Ferrari, they need to change their recent historical trend of hiring a "weaker" 2nd driver. That's one reason why they can't contend with Mercedes let alone even secure a constructor championship. They have not had a 2nd driver capable of winning races or bringing home even 2nd place points.
I think Ricciardo could very well do that and give Vettel a good competition...a la Ham/Ros days.

Ric would be a great Ferrari driver for next season. Another battle with Vettel, sounds exciting.
