so, fighting the wheel is the signs of pushing?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bs_LIBPTAdg
This pole lap from Vettel also is very smooth, was he not pushing??
This video pretty much underlines what santos told. :) Don't you see a difference in steering wheel motion?
His lap there was so smooth, maybe what you r saying is his first corner jerking due to uneven curbs? is that fighting the steering wheel like santos said? it was such a great lap from Vettel especially how smooth he was in the sector 2 and sector 3.
And can we be only pushing if we have a 10 steering wheel corrections ?? and jerking the wheel out of all corners? that is not how you go fast.
Here is quite obvious how much easier it is for Vet :

2019 testing fastest lap vs 2018 pole lap

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X8qCECDbVFU[/url]

Hamilton probably gained like 1s on the straights, goes to show how much laptime there's still in reserve. Also this wasn't a very clean lap by vettel, left some tenths on the table.
Hamilton seems to be faster on the straights and Vettel in the corners.
Vettel is on the back foot going into turn 1, but almost on par at the end of turn 2.
If you stop right at the apex of turn 15, you can see Vettel being ahead, but at the end it’s Hamilton crossing the line first.
This would indicate that there's even more downforce this year.
The wings are wider, so that might be. But you all missed the point that there is more drag and downforce on winter because of the lower temps. A direct comparison is misleading

Vettel did a 1m16,720s on the C3 tyre which will be this year softer tyre for the spanish GP. So what do you guys predict, can somebody beat last year pole time of 1:16.173?
wasnt the C3 equivalent to Super softs?
and C4 Ultrasofts and C5 Hypersofts?
Don't really understand why you ask that. I know it is weird but this year spanish GP will feature C1-C2 and C3. So C3 will be the softer tyre regardless of what the equivalency is.

Cornering Onboard Comparison 2019 Testing Fastest Lap vs 2018 Pole

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rpf-W5-CoYc

2019 wins almost every corner. Slightly slower through turn 9 mostly due to not running full engine power, because Vettel took turn 9 flatout. 2019 has crazy grip.
The question is rather they are cornering on T9 faster than on 2006/2010 because on 2017 they weren't. Probably they are at least on par now, but that's because of the new tarmac rather than the cars being actually faster

This has reliably been the most accurate pre season prediction for the last few seasons.

Interesting =D>

This seems right, but McLaren so high is quite strange.... and on other ranking they are quite low.
Big question mark regarding where will be this team.

But ultimately, we could have a 2018 like ranking for the 5 first teams
With Renault and Haas fighting for P4, which is a disappointment for Renault to be so low right now

We shouldn't forget McLaren has more resources than most others, probably even a bigger budget than Renault. If McLaren can get their act together, they actually should be running 4th or 5th.

Intruiging. Although one thing is missing from it; that being that this year, teams can run with more fuel or less which surely would have had an impact on the pre-season race simulations...
Not for nothing, Rosberg's Championship is the only thing that lends credibility to Hamilton's recent success. Otherwise, he'd just be the guy who's had the best car. — bhall II

Yep, and depending on you you ask the difference between a team running light, and a team running heavy could be up to 20KG.

And not to mention the Engine modes.
