Isn't this just another Singapore but with a big curved corner in place of one of the left-right-left things. It's two almost straights with lots of 90-ish degree bends. Ferrari will be mighty on the main "straight".

I don't see why Ferrari won't be at the top again.

Lec, Vet, Ham, Ver, Bot - quali and race.
If you are more fortunate than others, build a larger table not a taller fence.

Hope you are spot on again chap.

But I predict another Monza at best, Hamilton stuck behind a Ferrari. Can't see how he'll get past.

Lining up at second row will be a treat for Ferrari with that long run to turn 1.

I'd expect Bottas right behind the Ferrari's. This may be the one track that he has on Hamilton...

Don't forget this track is smooth, so it's even harder to get heat into the tires and keep them at temp. Ferrari might have to add more DF than they would like to maintain tire life.

No, because you don't need nearly the delta to pass someone.

But it is run in daylight (sunshine) and the corners are slightly longer, so track heat and more lean should get heat in and harder tyres.

You might be right about Bottas giving Hamilton a hard time. If there are tracks Hamilton is weak on, Russia is one of them. Beat his teammate in qualifying just once (2014) there.

The entire weekend is supposed to be overcast with a good chance of rain all 3 days, and a high of only 23°C.

Singapore was a rear limited track but Sochi isnt. I do not think Ferrari will be able to maintain their competitveness in the race here. Quali might be a different story.

Ferraris are Red,
Brackley is blue,
this trend will continue,
after another Scuderia 1-2

In all seriousness, Ferrari is on a roll lately. Both drivers are confident now. The team is executing at a high level.

Combine that with Merc's struggles in qualifying, which make weekends harder than they need to be, they may have to fight for just a podium spot. Red Bull won't be down 2 weekends in a row.

It's a good job Mercedes picked up points early in the season when others were dropping them. If the season had been like this from day one, they'd be looking at neither a driver nor constructor's title this year.
