The only thing that can help level the playing field is to unfreeze development and remove the dumb token system. Mercedes is dominant - well done to them! The others need a fair chance to catch that up. Unfreeze all development limits

This year's season may be interesting only for Mercedes fans. The token and limit system is real stupidity on the part of the FIA.
Perhaps Ferrari will push politically for some kind of power unit equalisation? That would indirectly help Renault and Honda to a lesser extent, albeit bring the works and customer team Ferraris back into contention.
Problem is that Merc AERO is the best also. Come on 1.4s seconds faster from midfield is a YOKE :D

I'm finding it quite amusing how the stroll critics are missing except for trying to rationalize how perez in race trim is going to be faster. Should be interesting race tomorrow between stroll and perez. Sometimes i think people forget stroll is only 21 and does not have the experience of perez. Enjoy.

Don't worry, Stroll will crash at start.

Hats off to Mercedes. They're the best team ever without a shadow of a doubt, and they've done it in an era where competitive margins were tight.

If you're going by sound, that could be the revs dropping a tad because of the g force.

Valetteri running Lewis very close there. Slightly off line in soe of the turns he was, but that's what separates the GOATs from the sheep.

Yep exactly the same thing happens when they go round 130R and thatโ€™s flat.

Pole by a large margin as predicted. What I didnt expect was for RedBull to be so far back!
Red Bull messed up with their car big time, no one expected that.

I don't get people still saying Verstappen is an inexperienced driver. This is his 5th year in F1.

Maybe he just can't develop a car?

Newey and his team are developping the car. Max only can say what he wants, thats it.
OK. Let's try again.

Maybe he can't provide the feedback required to assist others in developing the car.
You actually mean... Stroll knows how to provide feedback to develop a car. And beats Lewis in the same car. Are you him? Shocking performance from RBR. High rake and Newey are history.
