That must be what Ivan referred to when he tweeted that he’d had a successful time in the wind tunnel and to look out for some interesting shapes in the next few races 8)
Yes. Confirmed by himself 8)

Ivan confirmed those intersecting shapes are still to come.

More aero load to the inboard I think,
The older spec has a sleeker profile.
Probably just the angle of the photo or just wound up/down the AOA of the planes. If it were new it would have been coated in flow-viz at some point, and it wasn’t

Both look the same to me. What's changed?

From Teamstream during FP1,
" We'll box this lap to try the other front wing. Launch map on, second gear launch from the stop. "

Well I stand corrected 😂 Hadn’t heard that

Car still very nervous in long radius medium-low speed corners. Losing 0.5 sec in the final sector.

As far as I can tell, the car is handling well on the high speed corners. However, it is a little sensitive to the wind and it doesn't seem to like quick inputs on the wheel that much. Carlos lost most of that 0.5 seconds to Stroll in the final sector and he had a snap at the penultimate corner. Couldn't put the throttle down as quickly as he wanted to. Could have been wind, or maybe Carlos overdid it a bit. Gotta wait for Lando to set his lap too to have a clearer picture.

Does anyone know if the updates are on both cars for FP2? I couldn't spot them on Lando's car during the red flag and I am fairly certain I saw the new bargeboards on Carlos's car earlier on the session.

That just looks like it has been adjusted higher. The inner portion of the wing is adjustable

The top pic is from Hungry. You can see #1 Feed #3 and #2 is pusingthe air below #3.

What we can't see if #3 has changed at all.

It was indeed coated in flow-viz, difficult to make out any changes though

ANDREA STELLA, Racing Director
“We had a busy programme for this Friday, which opens the double-header at Silverstone, with some aerodynamic upgrades to validate. Happily, the circuit stayed dry and, barring some minor bodywork damage, we didn’t see any major problems and could complete the programme we’d planned. We could see the new parts are working, and I want to thank the whole team for the effort that went into designing and manufacturing those parts. It’s a constant effort to improve the car, which is very important because the midfield is clearly very tight.

“The track was tricky today with a blustery wind and, like everyone else, it was tough to extract the maximum out of the car given the conditions. We expect the remainder of the weekend to be a little cooler; we have to be prepared to deal with all conditions and hopefully once again be able to compete for a place in Q3, to give ourselves the best chance of scoring good points on Sunday.”
