The Renault engine qualifying mode has also seriously improved.
Nope, I said it last year that their Q mode was much better than Honda and I got slated. They have no performance gain from last year only reliability so goes to show what a rocket they have. Now chassia has improved a lot on the two cars.

The W11 is a joy to watch.
I honestly believe it is without a doubt the best Formula 1 car ever built.
I mean, what defines the "best"?... It is certainly, by far the fastest ever (and there's a strange possibility that it'll remain the fastest for a very long time to come, if not even forever).
Well, even with the changes to the floor, next year’s may still be faster (although ultimately the same car, I guess).

Pirelli are testing new construtions for next year in FP2 at the next race, qith a view to them being run at lower pressure. Which should mean faster 'tyres' shouldnt it?

Did anything come of Valterri's Q2 lap!? Apparently he was behind Lewis on track and set his best time on the lap Lewis spun. so surely there would be yellow flags?

I haven't seen anything, but then he was so close to Lewis he was probably past him before the Marshalls even had a chance to react.

I thought the same at the time, he passed lewis stationary car at full throttle and set a completely purple lap, not sure how that flies

Hamilton kept his car ontrack that way he didn’t trigger the yellow flags.

Since when has a car facing the wrong way or stationary on track not triggered yellow flags?

It is very interesting to see that Redbull and Ferrari are only 1 tenth apart. Did max mess up his q3 lap? Din't look like it. If this is the true pace of both cars.. how did Ferrari close up to rb without any upgrades?

On a power track one would expect that the gap would have widened since hungary considering that Ferrari is down on power this season. Anyone's got a good explanation?

Have you seen the rear wing on the ferrari? Its like spa spec, so theyve cut their drag quite a lot, and silverstone is drag sensitive circuit since 2017.
