Yes, this is what Ivan referred to, he confirmed it when they appeared on the car in Spa. He said it’s his last contribution to the F1 side of things, for the moment at least.
Is it possible that as well as cleaning around the floor and sidepod, that they may also push air some drag inducing air away from the rear tyres too?

They are essentially an extension of the trailing elements of the bargeboard and help drive the tire wake away from the car in concert with the fw vortices.

The rear tyre squirt is for the most part managed by the rear brake duct elements and the diffuser edges.

McLaren's obvious improvement by focusing on the bargeboard shows how important this area is. McLaren seem to have placed their venetian blinds as an endplate for the bargeboards.

Haas were the first to try something like this. Show's there's potential there. It'll be doubly important next year as this type of design will have to do what the floor used to.

Not expecting a good race for Mclaren and Renault this weekend. This seems a prime weekend for RP and Mercedes.

On the contrary, Andreas saying Mugello will suit the car well given its Austria like characteristics and we all know that he is EXTREMELY conservative when it comes to setting expectations

Do we have any information regarding the missing upgraded sidepod vanes on Lando's car last race?
Was it down to Lando's choice, which means he probably felt like it was a downgrade for him personally (not good). Or did the team not have enough time last week to bring the upgrade for both drivers so they decided to give it to Carlos first? (Which is still not amazing but at least it means the upgrades are working fine)

Hopefully we'll have some pictures of the full car later today to see if it is going to be on the cars this race or not.

The team didn’t had enough time to produce both, therefore only Carlos car got them (why Carlos and not Lando, no idea... Coin flip maybe?).

As I said before, production is still catching up, there was a testing set but they're not as light or as durable as the race spec parts because parts of them were rapid prototyped - not worth risking in race conditions.
Carlos got them because he was much happier with finding the balance of the car when they were testing them than Lando was.

Mugello is like sector 1 in Barcelona, sector 2 in Silverstone. The speed of the corners means that most cars will have similar cornering performance save for a few corners. Turn 1, the entry of the chicanes, turn 12 and 15 will be the main difference makers.
