Rubens Barrichello currently holds the lap record in an F1 car at Mugello, setting a 1:18.704 in the Ferrari F2004 with a V10 engine, but already the two-year old Ferrari (SF71H) which was used in the private test this year was troubling that time.

“We did a very similar lap time with full tank, not pushing, et cetera. So I’m pretty curious to see when we set the pole, I’m pretty sure it will be a record,” he is quoted by Racefans.net.
The test itself was a private one, so I don't believe any lap times were recorded publicly, but say they were doing high 18's - mid 19's on full tanks of fuel, you'd imagine seeing times around the 1:14's in qualifying trim (if you're in a Mercedes )?

As for Ferrari having any advantage... I reckon they could spend a whole year with the SF1000, pumping lap after lap around Mugello, have absolutely everything optimised, setup perfectly, know exactly every square inch of the track and Mercedes would still pull a second on them after FP1.
Ferrari's focus surely isn't on Mercedes this year (nor next year).

However, they could have an advantage over their midfield opponents in Mugello, given they've had testing there.

KVY - Sochi 2014.

I bet you something mysterious like that happens to one of the Ferrari cars in quali.

With those two Haas and the torpedo, I won't be surprised.

This one will go down as another record for hamilton, for the amount of wins on different circuits.

Everyone bar max and Bottas will be lapped.

Mercedes won’t make the same mistake again entering a closed pitlane
Hey don't count Bottas out for the win. He said he was UNLUCKY at Monza. Speed is his middle name and he could totally win. Specially if he qualifies second and even more so if he isn't leading on Lap 1.

On full fuel lap times will be in the 22s, 19's with low fuel.

Proper quali lap will be high 14s.

You don't want a brake failure on this track. That is for sure.
It would probably look like 1999 Silverstone or worse.
Finishing races is important, but racing is more important.

.... a Red Car .... at Ferrari's 1000th race! ......
according to our all-knowing BBC it will be a darker red like Ferrari's first F1 car (of 1950) ....
'because it's Ferrari's 1000th WDC F1 race'

but Ferrari's 1000th WDC F1 race and Ferrari's 1000th WDC race aren't the same thing ....
the 1952 and 1953 WDC (the greatest Ferrari domination ever) having been for Formula 2 cars

When your teammate gets all the questions and you are like .....

@Charles_Leclerc only got like two questions in the press conference and at the end he said:
"Thank you for the many questions." :)

Sebastian Vettel said he came close to retiring from Formula 1 after his departure from Ferrari was announced.
Asked by RaceFans how close he came to retiring from F1, Vettel said: "Close."

Vettel: "I don't want to miss the years with Ferrari. It was a big part of my life. Ferrari is a special place for me, I've followed the races with Schumi and so on.
I wanted to do better than I did. There were good times, bad times, now it's time for both sides to move on."

Hamilton came on his Vespa at the circuit for the PC.

What do you mean by: "Looking flash." ?
Leclerc or Hamilton in his pajamas (or just his little hat)? :P

It's not as though Bottas is miles off in qualifying is it? He's basically neck and neck with the soon to be most successful driver ever.

All it takes is for qualifying to go the other way and he will be a strong favourite for the win around here.

He's looking fashionable. I would say very "urban"and he brings a different kind of coolness to the grid. The man just looks relaxed and comfortable in his skin.

I really like the content Marc Priestly creates, but for some reason until now I’ve never watch his track analysis

I won’t miss it again! His first hand knowledge of what the teams will be doing to set the car up during practise is priceless, and as far as I aware quite unique compared to other content available
