Lapcount at the end of day 2

After 2 days:
Alpine: 257 laps
Red Bull: 256
Alfa Romeo 256
AlphaTauri: 253
Haas: 247
Ferrari: 246
Williams: 214
McLaren: 195
Aston Martin: 177
Mercedes: 152

...from Autosport-forum
This is sad to see for Merc. As a merc fan, my favs for this year is redbull.
Depends on what they are testing on the laps they run, and the laps they don't
Since I hadn’t seen this anywhere:

Mercedes 557

Seems they shift at little bit later/ rev a little longer now? Third gear also seems to be very close to fourth. Am I the only one thinking this?

From The Race - Adjusted fastest laps taking into account tire compounds, estimated fuel loads, etc.

Historically, with Bahrain being one of Merc’s worst circuits (being rear-limited), this bodes well for them. McLaren looking sharp. Ferrari breaking my heart.

Mercedes 1m28.3s
Red Bull 1m28.5s
McLaren 1m28.65s
Aston Martin 1m28.7s
AlphaTauri 1m29.1s
Ferrari 1m29.5s
Alpine 1m29.5s
Alfa Romeo 1m30.4s
Williams 1m31.3s
Haas 1m32.45s

Total bullshit.
Funny cos sky reporting exactly the same

Personally I don’t think we’ve had anywhere near enough running to predict anything at all

There’s plenty of performance left in all cars at the moment, the times we’ve see are just working on their own ‘very condensed’ programs

We won’t really have any idea until quali in 2 weeks time... just like usual

Top speed during each driver's fastest lap, with S/F line speed as well :

Here is the timing data from today's test as requested.
I reformatted the timestamps slightly so that the whole thing is a bit more readable.

this is great. thank you very much. maybe combine all tables into a single spreadsheet?
You mean, one document with multiple sheets?
Yes, that's what I meant :)

Bah. Every pre-season test is a lot like this. People thinking/hoping that one team or another passed mercedes.
Then, after a few races in, when they demolished everyone, people switch to talking about that the season is in the bag for them...

Aside from the low top speed, he got 18% of ERS left when he crossed the finish line, so obviously not even close to full engine power. In Q3 it was usually 1-3%.

No, this year, it is different. You guys dont see it?! It is beyond only the car. Lewis is not happy about his deal, the team and the car.

What difference does that make? After all as so many will tell you, it's all the car!

Lews Hamilton:
“So the rear doesn’t feel particularly great with this new regulation change, but we’re trying to find the sweet spot.”

A sketchy Mercedes is promising news for everyone else.
