Why all posts about British media have been deleted, huh? Is it that influence that I mentioned? :D
You do realize that the majority (I think) of the moderation staff aren't British!

Shouldn’t think so. Most of the mods are from other countries, aren’t they?

I really can’t think Leclerc did that on purpose. Surely he’d have done it in a place where there was far less risk of big damage to the car.
I really really hope not but the prize is huge so the motive is obvious. Remember his driving at Monza 2019.

That’s why I’m suggesting anyone who does this should have their times wiped.
That's not the rule in F1. It seems absurd to change the rules in a reactionary manner.

How long does it usually take to get news on the car damage?

That seems extremely harsh a punishment. Cant say I agree with that at all unless you can unequivocally prove it was an intentional crash. This absolutely doesn’t seem that way to me.

I have the news already for you. Charles is on pole and will stay there.

We will likely hear to tomorrow morning. But I would be very super enormously highly surprised if Lec is not starting from pole.

Christian Horner:
You would never do such a crash on purpose. Also you can easily damage your gearbox/chassis with such a crash, which will drop you from your P1 position easily.
Verstappen:
I think it makes a difference when a guy makes a mistake and hits the wall or doing it intentionally. If Charles parked there with a broken front wing, it‘s a different story. He just clipped the wall and ended where I ended up twice. It‘s just unfortunate.
Leclerc:
If I was doing it on purpose, I would have done it a less bit hard! For now I'm worried about the rear of the car, I hope it's OK, but it doesn't look OK.

Loving the conspiracy theorists in here.

Regardless, that was a fun session up until the end. Binotto's redemption arc continues.

It's also been a good look this weekend for Sainz. Really showing why he should be in that seat long-term.

Will be interesting to see why type of strategy Red Bull plays. Will they take on risk for the win or run more conservatively knowing Lewis most likely won't make it through the field?

Usually? About half a second or about as long as it takes carbon fibre to shatter. Why?

I’m not suggesting deleting Chaz’s time for this offence but maybe a change in the sporting regs is worth looking at for the future.

Leclec himself said he was waiting for the gearbox inspection by the mechanics.

How do you know it's fine? :)

It seems quite plausible that Leclerc will start from P6 with a new gearbox (unfortunately for Tifosi).

Hamilton having an off day where it matters the most. He can afford to lose 10-15 points to Max here, don't think it's gonna break the bank for him championship wise.

But in Monaco, towards the middle of the grid you're never safe. There's no telling what carnage might unfold at the start. And getting caught up and scoring zero can break the bank.
