They took lessons from Schumacher. This time no penalty because of good exicution. A bit expensive but ok.
For ferrari this crash is nothing its like bying a Hamburger
I think it is buying a humburger and as a promotion winning a sports car.
This kind of humburgers can cost you dearly in the end with the cost-cap in place. Ferrari will need every cent to spend on their way back to the top 3.

Loving the conspiracy theorists in here.

Regardless, that was a fun session up until the end. Binotto's redemption arc continues.

It's also been a good look this weekend for Sainz. Really showing why he should be in that seat long-term.

Will be interesting to see why type of strategy Red Bull plays. Will they take on risk for the win or run more conservatively knowing Lewis most likely won't make it through the field?
I always thought the Binotto haters had their rage misplaced, he's doing a good job. His honesty is why they're turning it around. You cannot fix anything if you don't grasp the reality of the situation.

Amen.
We can not know, even ferrari can not know(maybe) if they don't know about that CL's own plan. Drivers turns that turn very close and a small intentional action can easily cause this. Even and even intentionally driving into that turn aggressively can realize your plan very naturally. If you have such a plan you have to take risk of damaging other components. So possibility of damaging other parts can not be a proof for CL's innocence.
At the end we can not read his mind. I just feel this is better plan than Schumacher's, and better execution
Look what the driver of your favourite team told.

Yeah the Merc is a bit of a dog round here by the look of it. Bottas is doing a great job.
Hamilton is doing a dog performance, car itself is not so bad. Verstappen just put 1s on perez in Q3, i guess RB is an even bigger dog of a car then.
Lol when Hamilton struggles the Merc is a dog. Bottas was right up there and was in for a shout of Pole. This is one of those off days Hamilton has.
Simpler than that - Monaco is not a Hamilton circuit. Only 2 poles and 3 wins there. Even Singapore has been better for him with 4 poles and 4 wins. That's the thing about humans - they're not perfect.

What would be against introducing a rule to give 5/6 minutes extra and a new set of reds if the session is redflagged. In the second Q3 run?

It would prevent any chance of anyone benefitting from an issue. However unfortunate to have it. It would perhaps even prevent them having an issue.

what happens if someone dumps at the beginning of those extra minutes? you can't have rules for every situation. you just have to live with it and that's what makes the show spicy.

Accidents happen. I don’t think it would be very fair, though I still have a few doubts if this was 100% accidental.

It was a very leclerc-esque crash, with a bit of luck for him without consequences. There are far better ways to ruin someone’s last hot lap around Monaco then to crash your car with potential gearbox and chassis damage.

Fully agree. I do not for one second believe that Charles did it on purpose, that is just rubbish. But there must be some kind of mechanism in place that prevents a driver with nothing to lose to go all in like this and just hoping that it sticks. It obviously ruins others' chances, and therefore it will be slightly tainted even though it was 100 % unintentional. Real shame, because he once again shows what a class driver he is.

If Formula 2 cannot delay Formula 1, then surely Formula 1 cannot delay Formula 2!

Time certain sessions are very important for a tightly packed racing schedule.

My thought too. I watched quali, went out to mow the lawn, came back in and it's like the school playground in here.
