What an hypocrat ? hamilton was complaining that it is so dangerous at this speed and what he did to verstappen in silverstone was then what ?.
Yep, certainly a bizarre thing to say.

A robust and fair defence by Alonso for sure. =D>
I agree. It was superb. Best duel of the year by far and so key to the result of the race. Edge of the seat stuff seeing them dance round each other so closely lap after lap.

Of course Hamilton is going to say that over the radio. He’s a seasoned pro and knows the stewards are listening.
Honestly guys he was in the heat of the moment and his adrenaline is at its peak. He's been charging all race and mentally he was at his tipping point as we saw after the race. Give him some slack guys

If not for Alonso's staunch (and illegal at the end there) defense, Ocon wouldn't have won. He played the perfect rear gunner.

Gutted for Hamilton, but I suspect he would've snatched +14 points with his eyes closed against Max, had he been offered it at the start of the day. He really needed 2 or 3 laps tops to win there in the end.
Defending against Lewis is illegal now?
Nice trolling.

He went over to Hamilton's side at turn 4 to squeeze him and they rubbed wheels.

If you don't know, that corner is a left hander, and he went right to run Hamilton out of road. If not for Hamilton's vigilance, his race would've ended there. Both illegal and dirty from Alonso.
Alonso was only able to do his "good" defense because he had nothing to lose. If you are okay with crushing then it is really easy to defend :D

Everyone saying Merc messed up not pitting Ham, no one mentioning where the Merc pit is. If even one car is faster out of their box than Ham, he is at the back anyway as he would not have an exit gap
This. Would have been last in the pit exit queue for sure.

Good recovery drive nonetheless. The Alonso battle was epic, and shows the old master still has it!
With him leading with a few seconds, making a 2 sec pit stop, he would have been first. But, if was the only one that would pit, he would be last.... sometimes it's not easy to lead and although his team did see all the other teams standing ready with tires, they couldn't tell Hamilton.

No, but making sudden moves under braking is, and Alonso definitely was heading into a grey area on that.

It shows that you can race hard and fair (the rub in to T4 was perhaps borderline). Masterclass of defending and a masterclass in trying different things to get by. Great driving from both of them. The young guns should pay attention to the old men to see how it should be done. =D>

Do you by any chance have any onboard images to show they rubbed wheels?. I would hate it if we are simply working from a conclusion you have made without viewing the evidence.

He really does. The man is spent
He deserved to win.. Silly mistake at the start:) but overall, it was a good result.
I bet that looking back tomorrow he will have enjoyed that race more than any for a couple of years. Its what they do it for

Nah. He’ll get over it.
This result for Ocon like Gasly last year is why we watch.

Not at all. Stewards had no issue with it.

It was a robust and clever defence by a handy racer. =D>
I'm sure once hamilton has gotten his chance to rest and review he'll see that it was firm but fair. This was a heat of the moment comment and we saw them embracing after the race as well. Had ham been still passed he wouldn't have seen him

No no. I clearly saw the puff of smoke coming out because of the wheels rubbing, on one of the replays.

Hamilton not looking right. I don't think it's exhaustion either. Like an anxiety attack probably from the booing. It's hard to face that from that many people. It's probably bringing up feelings he had when he was younger and people were happy he didn't win. Those types of things at a young age gives you triggers. I don't think it's inherently racists just Verstappen fans that want Hamilton to lose though. That looked like a flat out anxiety attack on the podium

That's because racing hard for 70 laps is hard work. People forget, I think, that these machines are still hugely physical to drive wheel to wheel.
I was just making a statement. 8-[
Sorry, I wasn't having a go at you, although it can be read that way.

I meant people in general. We often hear people bemoaning that the cars are easy to drive, that it's easy in a fast car, etc. It isn't easy at all.

Another team blunder today. What weather channel were they looking at to say that there was still risk of rain???
