PlanetF1 is a sh!tbox of a site ususally. But, as RB has stated in his interviews, the car is good, it will be up front, but it may take a while through the season before it is capable of winning. Brawn states the team is good and is set-up to succeed in the future.Devilsadvocate wrote:i think all teams and just playing mind games..firstly RB says that he doesn't know why MGPW03 cant be a winner and then concludes that there would be in for an unusual win under different circumstances.

3.10.2 Other than the bodywork defined in Article 3.10.9, any bodywork behind a point lying 50mm
forward of the rear wheel centre line which is more than 730mm above the reference plane,
and less than 355mm from the car centre line, must lie in an area when viewed from the side
of the car that is situated between the rear wheel centre line and a point 350mm behind it.
With the exception of minimal parts solely associated with adjustment of the section in
accordance with Article 3.18 :
‐ When viewed from the side of the car, no longitudinal vertical cross section may have
more than two sections in this area, each of which must be closed.
‐ No part of these longitudinal cross sections in contact with the external air stream may
have a local concave radius of curvature smaller than 100mm.
This is bad. This is going to screw some what the pat of flow, and look at the position of the gills. Very key zone. Merc is going to loose a few tenths because of this.Med4224 wrote:
So gills are back?
we're screwed...
You cant compare that because the body is not fitted on the floor at that picture.Ferraripilot wrote:Is it me or does the above pic look like the exhaust exit is more inboard than before.

This whole area looks like it does not belong there... lets see if they just experiment with something in free practise, or if they use it in qualifying and race. i remember an interview with ross brawn after the first barcelona test where he said how happy they were with the car performing just as they expected without any cooling issues.Med4224 wrote:

You're just plain wrong - look at the shape of the small plate on the end of the DRS flap that when closed will rotate down to cover that hole. It's clear as day that it's not a shadow.Rikhart wrote:That is without a doubt the shadow of the top plane winglet, that is opened.Crucial_Xtreme wrote:Merc duct opening??
