Correct me if I’m wrong but in general a shorter chord would mean less flow separation. Although it may reduce the peak downforce slightly there should be a more consistent balance.

With Ferrari and Red Bull having matte finish cars, would Mercedes be able to measure anything from their matte white front wing and bodywork to compare to their regular glossy silver finish? I'm wondering whether they are using this part white livery as a bit of a test for matte silver next year.

Daimler has enough information what different types of paint do for temperature, drag, etc etc.

Matte paint is more to have your livery look better on TV when the sun in shining.

Sorry if this has been asked already, but why did Merc abandon the chimney cooling exit? Does it have something to do with the new rear wing regs this year?

Is this a new wing? It looks more like the one on the Ferrari, or is the angle of the picture?

When you look at that front wing it seems Merc have actually moved more towards the Ferrari front wing solution than the Red Bull one.
