Somebody asked why other teams are so quiet about this subliminal ad thingy. Don't forget that most of them did exactly the same with their 'team spirit' and 'be on edge' etc.

They are quiet because they don't want to rock FOTA boat. They rarely mess if it is none of their interest, and that's one of the things that I don't like. They should be at war 24/7. Sucking up to each other, fake smiles and handshakes really make me sick.

If they were at war 24/7 MM would do whatever he wanted and pretty much none of them would be in F1 by now.

Isn't this type of advertising supraliminal not subliminal

I don't approve of tobacco advertising but it is brilliant marketing to associate a brand with an unregistered trademark.

Pure coinsidence of course, I hope everyone can see that, might as well have been an HRT on that banner.

Actually, I think that is what Marlboro planned. You can't put Marlboro logo on cars, but you can put car on Marlboro logo. So, where, tobacco ads are permitted they would use Ferrari image, while Ferrari itself may advertise nothing.

Its evident.

WHY IS NOTHING HAPPENING?

And why is LdM so certain that this is all a "waste of time" as Ferrari have done nothing wrong.
From the comments, Ferrari are guilty of breaching the rules(if tenuously)
So what penalty should they recieve if any?
More could have been done.

With such incomplete legislation, it makes you wonder why other manufacturers haven't jumped through the the loophole with their brands.

I just heard a radio (UK) advert on ClassicFM for ClassicFM where they are claiming that radio advertising is like putting a turbo-charger into your marketing. There is the sound of a car revving in the background. An example of the marketing power of motorsport I would say and a clear highlight of what Marlboro is tapping into.
Williams and proud of it.

The trouble is that the majority of sensible people do not want the likes of Malboro tapping in to advertising of any sort, when their intention is to kill our children with lung cancer.
