There's the tiniest lift before 11 and then it's full throttle through the corner. That'd be "flat through 11" then.
That's not flat in my book, but perhaps it is in his.
"Flat" means 100% throttle. If he has the throttle fully open through the corner then it is flat. You can be flat in any gear, it's not just "the corner is taken at maximum speed".
If you are more fortunate than others, build a larger table not a taller fence.

Kimi is not rolling over just because wunderkid commands it!
I think you meant on Bottad and Hamilton. Because Vettel never requested order.
He doesn't have to. It's in his contract. Tomorrow though Hamilton looks likely to have plenty enough in the tank to hold the Ferraris back so Bottas can take advantage of things.

Might as well brake down to 10 kph and accelerate trough the corner and say it's flat lol. Corner is not flat unless the straight prior to it requires no braking, so basically hamilton is swinging in the dark with that statement.

Just like in China this year then? If it's in his contract why did he not let Vettel by immediately?

Kimi is not fighting anyone. He so bad he can't even fight Bottas or the redbulls. He can just thank Ferrari for keeping him and continue being their bottom bitch.

It's not flat out, so you are unequivocally 100% correct... yet flat out according to the guy on pole wasn't the fastest.

Comparison of 2017 with 2016 pole laps.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nJbSJMVpHbg

Interesting that the 2016 car is hitting higher speeds on the straights but is still 2.6s slower over the lap. In places the 2017 car is more than 20kph faster at the apex.

This was a textbook circuit for what the intent of the new regulations were to do.

How dare he drop into seventh gear on the rev limit to go faster around a corner.

Nothing interesting about drag/downforce ratio or the fact that cars compete over lap(s) not single corners or straights. Something the "cars are slower in this corner than wherever" crowd kept forgetting. Some other differences too (weight, weather).

What would that be, demise of any competition ;-), both internal and between the teams where third quickest car is 1,5 s, fourth further 0,7 = ~2,2 s from the 1st and second quickest is 0,5 s behind?

Was talking about the new Chassis regulations, would have expected Newey to have worked the miracles of the EBD era, but I guess to be a relevant team in F1 you need to be the whole package and not just a fizzy drinks company. ;)

I don't know what to call it, but this swinging high - low - high for Hamilton is not looking good for his WDC. His consistency is not to par with Vettel's. Or did Vettel have more luck, I don't know. But Vettel seems pretty consistent. He'll pass Raikkonen in the first lap and it will be Ham vs Vettel to the end.

You mean the consistency of dominating at Montreal and Baku, then a headrest breaking, then a 5 grid penalty in Austria that limited his potential, then dominating in Silverstone again when it counts?

I'd say the consistency of MERCEDES as a whole is something the team needs to work on and address. At first it seemed to evolve around the tires, but now seem to be solved, but the reliability issue (gearbox for Bottas and Ham and PU fault for Bottas) is not good indeed. Apart from that though... no idea what you are getting at.
Not for nothing, Rosberg's Championship is the only thing that lends credibility to Hamilton's recent success. Otherwise, he'd just be the guy who's had the best car. — bhall II
