Mercedes AMG F1 W03

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

Still stuck in Autosport,Webber has done 3-4 laps after pitting.

At present ->
Webber - 1.28.7
MSC - 1.29.7

Michael is atleast 1 SOLID second behind Red Bull.

The McLaren is on the medium compound, both Webber and Schumacher on the softs. If that's part of a race sim it's probably as straightforward as it ever gets in testing. Seems to be a long way off the Red Bull.

Webber 1-28.7 vs Michael 1.29.9 (1.2 Second Gap).

Although Michael is on Old tyres & Webber on Fresh Tyres.

Webber is on hard Michael on Softs. Michael has done 20 odd Laps on Soft & is doing quite decent times for a worn out tyre. Maybe MSC & Mercedes have not work on Full Tank Fuel Load Setup.

EDIT -

Webber 1.28.9 vs Michael 1.29.7 (0.8 seconds Gap).

Michael on 20 Lap Worn soft with Webber in more or less fresh hard tyres.

So far Schumacher has done 22 laps on softs.
Webber pitted to change is softs for hards...

If it were a race Schumacher could quite possibley be infront and on a 2 stopper whereas Webber could be on a 3 stopper.

I don't think you can compare the numbers directly.

Nah, MS has changed tires in between, its just a glitch in the timing page. You can see that there is no laptime on lap 67-68, he must have pitted there because the times dropped from 1:32.456 to 1:28.720

Now that do not do refuelling during the pit stops. The total laps covered by both cars when they finish might give us some idea where they probably stand.

There is an interesting article in the AMuS about the technical parts of the Merc and especially about the little DDD and the F-Duct!

article:

Pictures to the article:

picture 8 shows the DDD very well

Edit:
14:52 Webber begins his second stint with 1:27.7 minutes - Schumi had shot his first round after the stop in 1:28.7 min. Due to the different tires of the Mercedes is now probably break down much faster.

It seems that they are down 1 solid second with also being on he softs against the mediums but I personally think that's too big a gap...maybe...surely.
