Hmm based on testing times if tht is what you're going at, this guy would be 6th, nothing better than last year. I always thought fans wanted their driver/team to improve over the year, guess I was wrongclipsy1H wrote:OMFG!!! 121 laps and 1.23.384!!!!!! THIS GUY own everything!!!! GO GO MICHAEL GO GO!!!!!
BTW: some1 ask about RBR and MERC Cloth rear wing. They wanna hide back of the car not only the wing.!!!

BTW2: This will be the final exhaust position? or they have anothers variants??

Right so they are using the starter motor hole essentially?Eruuh wrote:N12ck wrote:I still dont understand where that little bit in the middle of the diffuser comes from, does it take air from above the floor?Eruuh wrote:

In this article: http://www.auto-motor-und-sport.de/form ... 19554.html
from AMuS. They are talking about an hole in floor behind the engine cover, bringing the exhaust gas and air to the DDD. And this hole is in the circled area i think but may be i am wrong
I think it means collecting above the floor rather than below it. If they are right, then this must be banned as you basically have an exhaust enhanced diffuser and I believe this is against the rules.Eruuh wrote:N12ck wrote:I still dont understand where that little bit in the middle of the diffuser comes from, does it take air from above the floor?

That's the other possibility that the starter hole is being used to feed flow from under the floor. But then it is possibly in violation of the regs for the starter hole.N12ck wrote:Right so they are using the starter motor hole essentially?
I dont think so, MS are do 10 laps more then Weber in race simulation, he has much more fuel at start.wesley123 wrote:Hmm based on testing times if tht is what you're going at, this guy would be 6th, nothing better than last year. I thought that tooEruuh wrote:Edit: I translated the part from the part of the article via google
The air is introduced but not like the classic double diffuser from the bottom of the shaft. That would be banned. The air enters through two holes next to the motor cover. If you look at the rear of the bird perspective (i dont know the english word and google neither ^^) acknowledges that the exhaust pipes are aimed precisely there. The engine cover behind the tailpipes make a small dent where the gases are directed downwards.
maybe that solves the problem with the regulation terms
So its not really a double diffuser at all really,Eruuh wrote:Edit: I translated the part from the part of the article via google

I think they are access ports for the DRS mechanism.Agerasia wrote:I'm still intrigued by the compartments on the lower ring wing element that seem to be bolted down.
Can't be the dreaded b word (ballast) as the C of G is too high. Maybe they use different surfaces on them to change the profile slightly or even different textures. I'm surprised texturing isn't actually done already to the surface that needs to retain air (pressure).
If it's set up as the article describes then its more like a blown diffuser. I would say "exhaust enhanced" as the exhaust is not applied directly to the diffuser itself.N12ck wrote:So its not really a double diffuser at all really
