Don’t worry, there are way more changes to the car that are strangely unlisted that we can and cannot see.
Lower engine mode for Merc, compared to others.
- RUS had high drag and also weak ERS deployment on several straights (lower PU mode)
- HIGH-SPEED GRIP (Downforce) - Mercedes' cornering is excellent, yet McLaren still has the edge under braking

Interesting that they are bringing two new wings in three weekends.Lasssept wrote: ↑16 May 2025, 22:17AMuShttps://www.auto-motor-und-sport.de/for ... ren-imola/Red Bull and Mercedes are trying to close the gap to McLaren with upgrades. No I believe there is confusion about it. They're not bringing another front wing, this is the wing that will be used once the TD is place. Why I say that?f1isgood wrote: ↑16 May 2025, 22:30Interesting that they are bringing two new wings in three weekends.Lasssept wrote: ↑16 May 2025, 22:17AMuShttps://www.auto-motor-und-sport.de/for ... ren-imola/Red Bull and Mercedes are trying to close the gap to McLaren with upgrades. Oh I see. Thanks for confirming.SB15 wrote: ↑16 May 2025, 23:15No I believe there is confusion about it. They're not bringing another front wing, this is the wing that will be used once the TD is place. Why I say that?
I seen the car ride a curb in FP1 during a replay and it was far stiffer, way less wobble than their previous iterations.
That's odd. Why run it here and lose performance benefits of a flexi wing for 2 races. Even Monaco would have been somewhat understandableSB15 wrote: ↑16 May 2025, 23:15No I believe there is confusion about it. The team knows way more than any of us, and thought It was best to do it 2 race weekends ahead.Macklaren wrote: ↑17 May 2025, 01:25That's odd.
