It holds up the floor, a purely structural part.

[quote="ecapox"]....edited out Marko flame war comment Flyboy2160 .....However it is harder to explain Raikkonen's problems and the fact that Sauber and Marussia didn't get same boost from fuel (if they use Shell too).

Reason: off topic and inciteful comment about Helmut Marko

Its true shell produced a much improved fuel.

The Fuel is not only lighter but much more power effecient than the previous one. Ferrari had to carry less fuel than the previous GPs and u could read on the chart , that ferrari was one of the effecient cars.

This was mentioned bye Christian Danner on RTL during the race.

so now Ferrari need to make the engine use 99 kg of fuel, not 95 kg
and Shell need to make enough fuel for all (the Shell users) to have
and the FIA will have samples of the new fuel ?

This thread isn't a debate about Helmut Marko. I've deleted the start of that particular flame war. Just address actual facts about the Ferrari fuel, not personal reputations.

..and since it continued after I originally posted this warning, I've given a little Timeout.

RB is the slowest on the straights (again) because of their downforce and the weak and thirsty Renault PU, Ferrari has less drag, a littlebit less downforce, and a stronger and less thirsty PU.
very wrong, its red bull setup , torro rosso had higher topspeed than us.
That's because toro rosso has no down force. The Ferrari and Renault engines are roughly equal, and the Ferrari chassis is much better than its gotten credit for. Downforce is very close to Merc and Red Bull this year.

I have looked around at my usual sources and see nothing about the Shell fuel. Not to say that it is going to be published. I'd try to keep it hush hushif possible.

That's a smoke from brake discs/brake pads wear.
Car is under heavy braking, you can see it by the DRS flap closing.

And it can easily be visible whether the wheel hub is open or not.

Looks more like the vortex from the edge of the front wing to me.

edit: it is, you can see it in front of the tyre.

I think Pilatus is right, as it rotates on the direction of the tyre rotation.

:wtf: the wheelhub can't rotate. It would be deemed as movable aero decide.

Look at the front of the tyre, you can see the vortex coming off the FWEP.

It's coming from the inside of the Front wing, you can see it on the other side and every other vortex shot for the past few years. Y250 vortex.
