I have nothing against the guy, but some of his fans are just too subjective. As a consequence, he has just as many haters as he has fans.
It’s telling that Hamilton and Verstappen are more convivial with one another than fans of Hamilton and Verstappen. Add Vettel in there too.
I'm not so sure. Hamilton already started trashtalk so the gloves are off. That was how it started between Hammi and Rosberg, was it not ?

Potential, cheap, Monaco GP saver: Just for this race, 3 mandatory pit stops, plus use all three compounds.
Add some joker loops though the harbour.

I think that started because Hamilton had a chip in his shoulder about Rosberg growing up in Monaco while he was in the Stevenage slums 😂

If there's one thing i've learned from this weekend its Lewis winning every week does not make F1 boring... Crap circuits producing boring races is what makes F1 boring

Even having the second youngest podium ever, the first Redbull/Ferrari/McLaren podium in about 8+ years, and Lando clinching 3rd couldn't make it any better

Yes I understand Monaco is Monaco, and the real action is on a Saturday, but it's pretty sad that it takes crashes to liven the race up, which for the first time ever didn't happen

And why didn't we have any crashes, or even a yellow flag? because the drivers were quite happy to sit back and do nothing. no point trying to overtake so why bother!

Cars are too big & heavy, tyres that are far from suitable to race on & to top it off...teams now can't afford to repair damage

a proper sad state of affairs if you ask me, and F1 need to look at livening this place up if they want to continue to race there in the future

the guy has always been like this, plays the role of a priest when he wins then at the slightest problem throws everything and everyone under the bus.

i guess he didn’t gather enough “blessings” and “energy” from his fans today lmao

yet it’s still better than bottas who gets awfully screwed up race by race and never calls out his team
Really?
How many races has he thrown his team under the bus? Could you list them? When has he done that at a slightest problem??

It looks like after fp3 the team over ride his decision and made changes to the car which left his car in very bad condition compared to Thursday.

Hamilton admitted that the team had failed to build on an encouraging practice day on Thursday, as changes to the set-up had sent it in completely the wrong direction when track action resumed on Saturday.

"There were lots of changes that we did in the car after FP3, because FP3 was a disaster," he said.

"And that's from the work that we've done in the last couple of days. It was completely the wrong direction, completely missed the ball.

"We then made some changes to try and take steps backwards and move the car to a different place, and the car was worse than ever. So I think we really lost our way from Thursday."

So looks like the team effed up his setup and also his race with poor strategy...so any normal human being is allowed to he critical.

Every team and driver does the same.
It is the seven time world champions job to tell the team what to change and what stays.
Why do u think he was so pissed about it... As far as I can understand, they went against his advice and changed it and it was even worse for him. That's why he was wanted to talk to his team after the race.
And during the race the team again did a bad job with strategy and made his lose 3 places.
It's a legitimate issue to be mad about.
The way you described this, it looks like he piggybacked all his 7 titles with the team actually setting him the car without his opinion.... in the end of the day he himself underdelivered.
And where did I ever give u that impression? Please don't put ur opinion as others.

I think his biggest gripe was that strategy. They told him to look after the tires and then pitted him first. I was so certain their only play was to have Hamilton go long and they blinked first. Shocking really.

I was very surprised about their strategy too. To me it made sense to wait until after Gasly had pitted at least, and what they did made them look very poor. But of course hindsight is 20/20.

It's only fair to acknowledge that Aston and Red Bull both nailed it as well.

Still haven’t caught up on the race; seems like I shouldn’t even bother.

I believe I read a few years ago there was a substantial reclamation project in prelim at Monaco? I don’t know whether that’s been shelved or not as there was a possibility of extending the track into new areas which might save racing at this venue. Short of a complete revamp of the weekend, I don’t see how else to save the Monaco GP.
I think you are right that there was an idea to extend the track on a land reclamation (portier cove). But if I look at the current construction plans it does not look like it can accommodate track.
Can you link to it pls?, I’d like to read up on it. Thanks

If you did'nt understand the Monaco Grand Prix Pit Stop Strategies

Post

The Monaco Grand prix pitstop strategies phase of the race was completely messed up by both Bottas's issues and the Tv Directors cutting to Lance Stroll, so a lot of new fans were confused about how Vettel and Perez ended up ahead, so here's a video explanation of that.

I know we’re in the age of “my truth” but I can pull up a quote
“Let me tell you this: I come from a not-great place in Stevenage and lived on a couch in my dad’s apartment and Nico grew up in Monaco with jets and hotels and boats and all these kind of things, so the hunger is different," said Hamilton.

I wasn't referring to facts, I was referring to how you phrased/wrote your response.

A writer can use nothing but facts and still write something in a way that's passive aggressive or condescending!
