Sam Collins mentioned that Alpine was on 20kg of fuel, RBR on 35kg as did Mercs, Ferrari was on 45kg of fuel in their laps in FP2.
Lol. As if Sam Collins knows how much fuel anyone has….

In Max's fastest lap he had an issue with energy. He reported to his engineer that he ran out well before the end of the lap: think he said after T10.

I’d have to imagine they went all in power wise for Carlos on a straight for data collection.
A solid tow?
Yeah, i doubt the new car is this much less draggy than the original.

I think he was just speculating and throwing numbers out there. There is no way Sam knows.
As usual, Sam talking out of his arse. Just ignore.

Max will win again, Perez seems nowhere in a traditional track.
Ferrari may be able to fight with Alonso, i get the feeling they still have something to give(weird strategy going on softs to open FP2).
Alpine turned their car around?

Alpine seem to be very competitive.. if I hadn't been burned by their Friday pace before I'd predict them to be the 4th fastest car, demoting Merc..

Ferrari look to be solid here, yes. I hope Alonso, Ferrari's and Perez will battle.

Ferrari’s fastest laps were on used (already 1 previous hotlap) tires right? If so they are right there so far.

Can see the issue into T10 on the telemetry. It cost him 2 tenths to Perez.

I looked at all top cars and it seemed they're all loaded with fuel, trying to outsandbag each other. All cars looked lazy and unresponsive. Ocon least so. I think RB will have it but margins will be low.

I think by sunday the order will sort itself out. i do have a feeling that alpine are doing a bit of glory running considering rossi is holding their feet over the fire and otmar being ever the showman... time will tell.

The delta line on the straights is gently sloping upwards on all the straights after T4 before it turns upwards even more aggresively into T10. I suspect the issue began in T4 and got worse as the lap progressed.

Typical Enstone work... their car working at mid-season :D

Remember's me of Ricciardo in 2020 when he put his finger on a setup who gave way more performances to the car !
