Consistency and reliability just great this season - Kubica

The BMW Sauber F1 Team lies at the very top of the reliability rankings for the 2008 Formula One season. For Robert Kubica the consistency of the team from Munich and Hinwil is a major factor in this season's good results.

Nick Heidfeld and Robert Kubica are well out in front in Formula One: no driver from any other team has completed more laps than the two BMW Sauber F1 Team drivers. While Nick has 986 laps under his belt going into the Chinese Grand Prix, Robert has lapped 958 times.

"Our consistency and reliability were just great this season," says Robert Kubica. "Compared to last year we have made very big progress."

"Last year we had many technical issues, but none this year. That is why we are still in the game," says the Pole, remarking on the link between the consistency of the BMW Sauber F1.08 and the fact that Robert and the BMW Sauber F1 Team still have a chance of winning their respective world championships going into the final two races. Robert currently lies twelve points behind leader Lewis Hamilton (McLaren). "Of course we are not in the best position to win the title," says Robert. "However, if I am still among three drivers fighting for the championship then it is down to the reliability, which is 100 percent perfect this season."
