Hamilton with enough potential to beat Schumacher's achievements - Whitmarsh

According to newly appointed McLaren team principal Martin Whitmarsh, current World Champion Lewis Hamilton has the talent to match or break Micheal Schumacher's record seven Formula One World Championships. Lewis at just 24 has already clinched a World Championship, in only his sophomore attempt, and according to his team principal has not yet reached his full potential.

"He won't talk about it because he's too modest, and what Michael did is extraordinary," said Whitmarsh, referring to Hamilton's ability to match or even break Schumacher's record breaking achievements. "But with great champions you don't want to match it, you want to beat it. The key with Lewis is that he's still very young and hasn't reached the peak of his powers as a driver."
