System checks in the garage for BMW Sauber

F1 Test, Bahrain, Bahrain International Circuitbh

In a repeat of what happened yesterday, the visibility was still too poor for the medical helicopter to fly. The weather did, however, clear up a little bit so the BMW Sauber F1 Team – along with the other two teams present – prepared for testing by running one installation lap. The BIC officials also started to clear the track of its dust cover.

Unfortunately the weather didn’t change as much as was necessary to run a regular test session. Subsequently there was no green light for the rest of the day. The only thing the BMW Sauber F1 Team’s engineers could do was run a number of system checks with the car up on its stands in the garage.

What comes next: Weather permitting Christian Klien will be at the wheel of the BMW Sauber F1.09 tomorrow for last of this week’s scheduled test days.

Robert Kubica Chassis / engine: BMW Sauber F1.09-02 / BMW 86/9 Test kilometres today: 5,4 (1 lap)
