F1 Test, Jerez, Circuit Permanente de Jerezes

The team were back in action today for day two of this week's five day test at Spain's Jerez de la Frontera circuit. Nico Rosberg was again on duty, assisting the team in its preparatory work prior to the start of the 2009 Championship which kicks off in Melbourne, Australia, at the end of this month.

Stubborn rain fell throughout the entire day but was unable to prevent Nico covering a full race simulation and a host of exploratory set-up work on the way to completing the most laps of all seven teams present and a total of 504kms. Nico recorded the third fastest time of the session with a 1:31.451 and will return to the track tomorrow for his last day of running.

Dickie Stanford, Test Team Manager, Williams F1: “Nico Rosberg continued preparation work with the FW31 today. Despite the wet conditions and a red flag temporarily halting proceedings this morning, Nico still managed to complete a race distance. We then spent the afternoon on general wet weather set-up work. We’ve had a good day and haven’t come across any problems with the car.”
