Idea of a Rome Grand Prix is fantastic - Briatore

Renault's Flavio Briatore claims that the concept of a Grand Prix in the streets of the Italian capital city, Rome, would be a "fantastic idea". The flamboyant Italian however believes that the event should be a one-off.

Briatore was quoted by the 'ANSA' agency: "The idea of a Rome Grand Prix is fantastic. From the television standpoint, it would be really spectacular. But it would mean sacrificing the race at Monza. If it does happen, I think it should only be a one-off."

"If it were up to me, I'd vote for two Grands Prix in Italy. But two races here would be very difficult to support."
