E-spec engine did the trick

The E specification engine that was introduced by the Mild Seven Renault F1 team seems to have done its business. After claiming the front row of the grid for the Chinese Grand Prix, Fernando Alonso was able to finish first at Shanghai, team mate Fisichella was 4th.

In the final race of the year, Renault F1 introduced their E specification engine in order to claim their second championship of the year. This is another development in Renaults long line of developments they have introduced this season in order to maintain competitive and win races.

The new engine, 'RS25E' is a more powerful engine than the previous one and an interesting outcome of introduction it now is that it only has to last one race. The new engine served the team during the qualifying session with Fernando Alonso taking pole and Giancarlo Fisichella in 2nd position, but also during the race, the engine proved its power and reliability. Fernando Alonso and Giancarlo Fischella brought home the Constructors' crown for the Mild Seven Renault F1 Team.
