FIA still awaiting Toyota appeal

The FIA is still awaiting an official confirmation of Toyota that it wants to appeal the 25-sec penalty which was handed out to Jarno Trulli after the Australian Grand Prix. Because of the penalty, Trulli lost his third place at Melbourne and was left empty-handed.

An FIA spokesperson confirmed on Monday that the FIA still hasn't received an official confirmation of an appeal against the penalty. He said: "Toyota communicated their intention to appeal to the Clerk of the Course last night. They were reminded by the Stewards that, as with Spa last season, penalties of this kind have proven to be inadmissible to appeal. They have 48 hours to consider their position."
