Haug demands clearer rules to avoid controversy

Mercedes-Benz boss Norbert Haug believes that Formula One needs clearer rules to steer away from controversial race weekends such as the Australian Grand Prix weekend. Haug believes that the diffuser saga could have been avoided if the regulations were more clear without any loopholes.

Norber Haug said to news agency 'SID': "Controversy in F1 is as old as the sport itself and it is quite often exaggerated at the first race of the season."

"We have been demanding clearer rules for a long time. Different interpretations are fatal for the reduction of costs: obviously designing something twice costs twice as much."
