By finishing tenth in the 2005 FIA Formula One World Championship, Mark Webber was the BMW WilliamsF1 Team‘s most successful driver this year, having scored a total of 36 points. However, the ambitious Australian would have liked to have ended up higher, in spite of his first ever Grand Prix podium at Monaco. Nonetheless, Team Principal Frank Williams is still confident about Mark‘s promise for the future.

Sir Frank Williams, Team Principal "It is easy to say he has had a difficult season, and I suppose some of his race results have been disappointing, but some of the incidents have been racing incidents. His qualifyings have been absolutely outstanding, and he is clearly a very quick driver."

Mark is also very popular within the team, not only for his on-track performances, "but if you take him to a sponsor day, there is no aggro. At the end of the day, if you don‘t please the sponsors you are out of business," adds Williams.
