Renault's engine coordinator at the Red Bull Racing F1 Team, Fabrice Lom, reflects on the team's victory during last weekend's Chinese Grand Prix at Shanghai and looks ahead to this weekend's Bahrain Grand Prix.

Fabrice, Red Bull Racing picked up its first victory in China last weekend - tell us how it was for you...

"We were delighted and also relieved because we had some transmission problems during free practice and we only found the solution at the last minute. And then the race seemed to go on forever and was quite mentally taxing race for the whole team. When we won, it was firstly a great relief and slowly it started to sink in that not only had we won, but we were first and second. We ran to the podium and savoured the atmosphere of our wonderful result."

Does Red Bull Racing use the same engines as the Renault F1 Team?

"Absolutely, they are the same engines and exactly the same spec. The only difference is the integration of the engine with the chassis, which is not the same for both teams. We therefore had to make various changes, but the main body of the engine is the same."

There were three Renault engines on the front of the grid in China - pretty impressive...

"We were very happy to see that. We are all supporters of the other team and having three of the Renault-engined cars in the first three places on the grid was a wonderful sight."

What is your mindset as we approach the Bahrain Grand Prix?

"The Bahrain circuit is quite hard on the engines and we need to be aware of the sandy conditions. But we must make sure we don't just sit back and rest on our laurels. It could be a challenging weekend and we must therefore remain vigilant and keep pushing."
