After USGPE and Lola, a third team has showed interest to appear on the 2010 Formula One grid. Prodrive boss David Richards declared that his team is now seriously considering to enter F1 in 2010 if the rules are right. Prodrive was already granted the entry a couple of years ago as it was on the verge of entering the sport in 2008.

With the FIA announcing radical new rules, including a proposed budget cap, for the 2010 season, the sport becomes more appealing for new teams. Earlier USGPE, formerly known as USF1, and Lola showed their genuine interest in entering the pinnacle of motorsport and they are now joined by Prodrive.

Richards said: "The initial signs coming out from the FIA and FOM are very attractive and represent the basis for a real revolution in the sport.

"Assuming that the new rules are commercially viable and there is the potential to be fully competitive, then we are ready to press the go button."
