The Williams Formula One Team has become the first of the current teams to enter the 2010 World Championship season. Less than 24 hours after the FOTA claimed that all teams on the 2009 grid were united in its efforts to change the 2010 regulations, Williams decided to already lodge their entry for next season.

"We have been paid in full for our participation and we feel both morally and legally obliged to make it clear that we will participate in Formula One in the future as we have in the past 30 years,” Adam Parr, the team's CEO explained.

At the same time he revealed that all teams have sent a joint letter to the FIA to request to go back to the 2009 regulations and build from there, rather than negotiate the current proposals.

The FIA is due to release details of the 2010 Formula One entry list on June 12.
