2006 F1 calendar changes

China and Japan have agreed to exchange dates for their 2006 grands prix, Formula 1’s governing body the FIA announced on Wednesday. The Chinese GP at Shanghai will now take place on October 1 and Suzuka’s regular fixture will follow a week later on October 8, becoming the penultimate round of the 19-race world championship. The swap was agreed by the two national motorsport authorities and approved by the FIA.
