Real tracks are where you pay for your mistakes - Kubica

Normally Robert Kubica is a fan of street tracks. However, he also finds the "Yas Marina Circuit" interesting. The Pole knows that there is a major advantage represented by modern circuits like the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix venue.

"I think real tracks are where you pay for your mistakes," says the 24-year-old Kubica. "The more run-off area you give me, the less I like it. But they are safer, so you have to find the best balance."

It's also all about finding the perfect compromise when it comes to setting up the BMW Sauber F1.09 for the desert race. Explains Robert: "What are interesting are the three long straights where you reach around 300 km/h and then brake heavily. Then you go on to the other part with low-speed corners. So you have to try to have downforce but also a good top speed."
