It was a cold and sunny morning for the start of Honda Racing F1 Team's three-day test at the Circuito de Jerez in Southern Spain. Anthony Davidson and James Rossiter were driving today with Jenson Button joining the test from tomorrow. The team now has two Concept cars on the test programme.

Anthony had a good morning in chassis 078-07 working on set-up work for the chassis and the engine and completing 51 laps. He followed this by running through a tyre evaluation programme in the afternoon session. Anthony completed an impressive 103 laps today, setting the fourth fastest time of the day – a 01:20.130.

James completed a shakedown run in the brand new chassis 078-08, followed by an aero evaluation, completing 48 laps in the morning session. He also completed a Michelin tyre programme in the afternoon, running for a further 33 laps to take his total for the day to 81 laps.

Jenson will take over chassis 078-07 from Anthony tomorrow, with James continuing in chassis 078-08.
