BMW Sauber continues Valencia test

After launching the new F1.06 to the public yesterday, BMW Sauber continued on track today in Valencia. Nick Heidfeld was again given the task of running the new car while Jacques Villeneuve remained in the interim C24B chassis fitted with the same P86 powerplant.

Heidfeld completed 68 laps working on the general setup of the new machine with a best time of 1:12.440s. Villeneuve meanwhile worked on the Michelin tyre development programme in the older chassis completing 92 laps in the process with a best lap of 1:13.422s.

The team remains on track on Thursday with Villeneuve getting his first run in the new F1.06.
