World Champions Red Bull Racing have chosen not to do an actual car presentation, but instead have opted for a simple online launch, publishing a video of the new car. The team will start testing tomorrow at Jerez, along with most other F1 teams.
As was to be expected, the new RB8 is again en evolution of its predecessor. With nearly stable rules and a championship winning car in hand, this surely was a no-brainer decision for the team.
A strikingly different design feature of this car compared to all others is a small inlet on top of the nose. As the regulations caused many teams to create a bump in the nose, in between the front wheels, Red Bull Racing have taken the opportunity to use this as an air inlet, reducing the drag effect of the level change.
