Raikkonen tops final day at Barcelona

Kimi Raikkonen topped the final day of pre-season testing before all teams are heading off to Australia for the first Grand Prix of the season. Fernando Alonso went second fastest in the morning, just like Raikkonen lapping on soft Pirelli tyres. Senna for Williams went third fastest.

12 laps after noon, Sauber had an engine failure which didn't see the car return to the track. They had however completed 60 laps in the morning, so not really a lost day.

20 minutes from the end, Petrov caused a red flag situation as he lost control of his Caterham and ended up in the gravel at turn 4.

The track was green flagged again only 10 minutes before the official end of pre-season testing, but many drivers still took the opportunity to put in a few flying laps. Vettel was the first to come out, on a set of medium Pirelli tyres.

The biggest news for today was perhaps that Sebastian Vettel with the Red Bull didn't have the greatest day either, as after only 5 flying laps he returned to the pitlane with a front wing failure sustained by him getting into the gravel trap briefly. A gearbox problem kept him aside of the car in the afternoon as well, allowing him to do only 23 laps in total.
