Honda fires up 2015 F1 engine

Honda has released a recording of its new F1 engine, which was recently fired for the first time. The engine is being developed for the 2015 season where Honda will participate under a joint project with McLaren.

The achievement is impressive, knowing that Renault and Mercedes have only revealed sounds recording months ago, whereas Honda still has more than a year of development ahead.

Honda however is set to set its F1 record straight after some troubled years with the Honda F1 Team. Before that however, a partnership with McLaren between 1988 and 1992 resulted in 4 consecutive Drivers' and Constructors' Championships.
