One day later, and on the back of Friday's two 90-minute free practice sessions, the third free practice saw Ferrari continue to be fastest, with Sebastian Vettel once again the fastest man for the scarlet team. Kimi Raikkonen was slightly more than 3 tenths down on his teammate, and only narrowly edged out Valtteri Bottas.

Lewis Hamilton was fourth fastest, a further 2 tenths down.

The leading four are however considerably ahead of the rest of the field, with fifth fastest Max Verstappen almost 1.5 seconds down on the pace setter. Felipe Massa, Nico Hulkenberg and Daniel Ricciardo were the only others to stay within two second of Vettel.

Jolyon Palmer meanwhile hit technical trouble on his Renault R.S.17 and failed to set a time.
