Formula One's sole American F1 team Haas have become the latest F1 team to set out when their 2024 car is due to break cover, with the team also confirming the date of their shakedown tests.

Haas will unveil their 2024 F1 car on 11 February before the team completes a shakedown at Silverstone on the same day, The American outfit will carry out another shakedown run in Bahrain ahead of pre-season testing at the same Sakhir venue from February 21-23.

Haas has recently gone through key structural changes after team owner Gene Haas had decided not to renew the contract of former team principal Guenther Steiner. The Italian, who has led the team since Haas joined the grid in 2016, was informed by the team owner about the plans between Christman and New Year.

The American F1 outfit finished last in the Constructors' Championship in 2023, four points behind ninth-placed rival team Alfa Romeo. They only scored on four occasions courtesy of Nico Hulkenberg's seventh-placed finish at the Australian Grand Prix while Kevin Magnussen finished three times in the top ten.

Steiner has been replaced by Ayao Komatsu , who previously served as the trackside engineering director. Guenther's departure came after Haas confirmed that Technical Director Simone Resta left the team.

Speaking of the Haas 2024 F1 car, new team principal Komatsu said: “The ’24 car is a clear step, but whether it’s good enough against the competition to start off with, I don’t think so, because we started so late.

“We changed the concept so late as well, and then by actually doing the Austin upgrade, we diverted our resources a little bit. I’m realistic with the car we’re putting out in Bahrain, but not in a negative manner. It’s not the fault of our engineers, our guys. They’re good people.

“For me, then the key is whatever the car in Bahrain, whatever problem we see, we try to understand it and then move from that point as a team. We are a small team as you know. We’ve got to move as one, otherwise we don’t stand a chance.

“To answer your question directly, it is a step forward. Is it good enough? No. But what we do from that point is how we can show that we can improve the team or not," Komatsu is quoted as saying by f1.com.
