Following an impressive showing last time out at Monte Carlo, Racing Bulls driver Isack Hadjar expects his VCARB to excel at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya.

Isack Hadjar impressed with his one-lap pace in Saturday’s qualifying session at Monte Carlo. The Frenchman secured a sixth starting position on the grid for the 78-lap Monte Carlo race, but he gained a position after a three-place grid penalty for Lewis Hamilton.

The Frenchman received great assistance from his team-mate Liam Lawson, who created a gap that allowed Hadjar to complete his two pit stops without losing any places. In the end, the Paris-born racer took the chequered flag in sixth place.

Offering his views ahead of the Barcelona weekend, Hadjar stated that he expects his VCARB to excel at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya.

"It’s a classic track with a bit of everything and a layout that really tests the car overall. I believe this circuit should play to our strengths and I’m optimistic it will suit our car well.

"As we head to Barcelona, the final race of the triple-header, we’re arriving at a circuit I’ve raced at before. It’s a classic track with a bit of everything and a layout that really tests the car overall.

Signing off with a word for his expectations, Hajdar noted: "I believe this circuit should play to our strengths and I’m optimistic it will suit our car well. We’ll stay focused and keep pushing hard.

"The team has been putting in an incredible amount of effort since the start of the season and our goal remains the same, to push for the maximum performance," said Hajdar.
