Hamilton denies any tension with his race engineer Riccardo Adami

Ahead of this weekend's Spanish Grand Prix, Ferrari driver Lewis Hamilton has denied speculation that he has a strained relationship with race engineer Riccardo Adami, stressing that it is "amazing to work with him."
Lewis Hamilton joined Ferrari at the start of the season. The seven-time F1 champion secured six of his record-equalling seven world titles with Peter Bonnington at his side with Mercedes.
Although Bonnington had been expected to leave Mercedes in order to follow Hamilton at Ferrari, the British engineer eventually elected to stay with the Brackley-based outfit.
Instead of continuing with Bonnington, Hamilton started to work with Riccardo Adami, who has previously serves as race engineer for Sebastian Vettel and Carlos Sainz.
At last weekend's Monaco Grand Prix, Hamilton could be heard asking Adami at the end of the race: “Are you upset with me or something?”. As the question went unanswered on the world feed, it has emerged that there might be some tensions between Hamilton and Adami.
However, Hamilton addressed the chatter ahead of this weekend's Barcelona race, hitting back at the speculation by claiming that he it is "amazing to work with" Adami.
“This circuit’s a staple on the calendar and I still really enjoy driving it. It’s got a great rhythm, especially now they’ve removed the final chicane and gone back to the original layout.”

Addressing the post-race message ahead of this weekend’s Spanish Grand Prix, Hamilton replied: “It was literally just there were areas where we had radio problems through the race, and I did not get the information that I wanted. We spoke afterwards.
“There is a lot of speculation and most of it is BS. We have a great relationship. He is amazing to work with. He is a great guy. He is working so hard, we both are.”
Speaking of potential tensions with Adami, the British driver said: “We don’t always get it right every weekend. Do we have disagreements? Yes, like everyone does in relationships. But we work through them.
"We are both in it together. We both want to win a world championship together and we are both working towards lifting the team up. So it is just all noise and we are not paying attention to it. It doesn’t make a difference to the job we are trying to do.
“Our relationship is great. And there are no problems. We are constantly learning more and more about each other and adapting the way we want to work. He has worked with lots of different drivers before. But we don’t have any problems whatsoever," concluded Hamilton.
