Colapinto praises Hamilton after having had "the best flight of my life with him"

Alpine driver Franco Colapinto has revealed that he travelled with Ferrari's seven-time F1 champion Lewis Hamilton together as the Briton offered him a flight to London.
Just six races into the 2025 F1 season, Alpine decided to drop Jack Doohan and replace the Australian with Franco Colapinto with immediate effect.
The Enstone-based outfit made the decision to axe Doohan after just six races of the 2025 F1 season. The Australian failed to score any points so far in 2025, having recorded his best result with a 13th-place finish at the Chinese Grand Prix.
Colapinto has completed four races so far since he joined Pierre Gasly at Alpine. The Argentinean driver finished 13th at the Monaco and the Canadian Grand Prix while he crossed the finish line in Imola and Barcelona in P16 and P15 respectively.
The 22-year-old driver, who was born in Buenos Aires, has now revealed that he travelled with Ferrari's seven-time F1 champion Lewis Hamilton together as the Briton offered him a flight to London.
"I had the best flight of my life with him. It was very special and very unique. I said I'm going to London but on EasyJet and he came back saying he had a lot of space on his plane and invited me to go.
"It was quite special. Also flying private for the first time, two very unique experiences and a lot of stories from Lewis. A very special flight," Colapinto added.
"He's a great guy and I was very, very impressed by how he is as a person and how he is as a professional. A lot to admire from the personal part from the sportsman. It was great, a dream come true and didn't have to fly on my EasyJet flight.”
